ennethErwinHaginwasbornonAugust20,1917 in McKinney, Texas. He was an influential American preacher. He is often referred to as the

'father'(or'granddaddy')of the “Wordof Faith”movement. Many of his followers often refer to him affectionately as 'PapaHagin'andmorecommonly'BrotherHagin'.Hewasa partof theVoiceof HealingRevivalinthe U.S.inthe1940s and50stogetherwithOralRoberts,GordonLindsay T. L. Osborn. In his books, I Went to Hell and What Faith Is, Kenneth Hagin gave an account of his childhood experience. He wrote on how he was sickly as a child, suffering from adeformed heart, and what was believed to beanincurableblooddisease. Hebecamebedfastattheage of 15, expecting death. In April 1933, he reported dying three times in 10 minutes, and each time seeing the horrors of andthenreturningtolife.Butthereafter,heovercame byfaithandhisMinistrybeganasayoungpreacher.
